Program Description
Introduction to the program
The program aims at photographers interested in photography creation from countries along the Belt and Road. The Photography School can help students from these countries develop targeted courses, and provide an initial understanding of the fundamentals of photographic creation and the basic processes in the practical creative process. The training mode of the program is:
1. Classroom teaching: According to the teaching content, the mode of teacher teaching, student discussion, and completion of homework is adopted.
2. Taking pictures and works for exhibition: According to the requirements of the course assignment, perform the creation of the picture works, and select the excellent works for a report exhibition at the closing of the school year.
3. Outdoors shooting and creation in the bases: Organize students to visit the off-campus practice bases of the photography schools, and create works; organize students to go to the famous Chinese cultural cities for practical teaching.
The faculty of the program is shown as follows: visiting lecturers from Photography School of the Beijing Film Academy and well-known photographers or scholars in the industry will serve as the lecturers of the program. The course is taught at the Beijing Film Academy. Practical teaching will use the lighting photo studio, professional black and white darkroom and digital output room of the Photography School.

Commercial Advertising and Business Portraits
The overall focus is on the characters in the studio and the still life products. Under the premise that the students already have the basis of photography, the commercial advertising photography training with certain difficulty is carried out, and classroom exercises are carried out in combination with the real business process so that the students can have strong practical ability in the study and form a visual language system with personal features.
News Documentary Photography and Photographic Picture Editing
To enable students to establish the concept of documentary photography, learn to observe life, extract the theme, structure picture stories, and form a unique way of viewing. The history of news photography and related theoretical concepts; introduction to the themes, genres and categories of news photography; the techniques and skills of news photography shooting; the introduction to knowledge related to news photography (photo editing, ethics, law).
Photography Art Creation
It systematically expounds the whole process of photography creation; from the shooting, developing, printing, projecting of traditional film photography in early stage, to digital photography, and to computer production, output printing and other related knowledge in later period.
World Photography History, Chinese Photography History and Work Appreciation
It systematically introduces the development process of photography during more than 100 years since its invention. It vividly describes the origins and characteristics of various photography schools in the history of photography with rich data and classic works, and makes an incisive analysis on more than 200 famous photographers and their works. The history of Chinese photography combines Chinese history, culture and social traditions to teach the development of Chinese photography and the characteristics of photography culture.
Chinese Traditional Culture Practice
It includes Chinese classic literary works appreciation, Chinese calligraphy courses, tea art, ceramic art, shadowboxing and other aspects
Expense description
Beijing Film Academy will reduce all tuition fees and part of equipment usage fees for all students. The living expenses, accommodation fees and other expenses related to the filming will be borne by the students participating in the program themselves.
