Editor Notes: Chinese language courses are offered by small class teaching in International School.
- Chinese Language Bridging Program are offered by small class teaching in International School, which fall into three categories, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced courses.
- Students can choose the category suitable for their own Chinese level. BFA gives overseas students an opportunity to study film languages in Chinese, which lays a good basis for them to continue their film major courses.
- The School organizes various trips and sightseeing each year to enrich overseas students' part-time life and let them know more about Chinese culture.

Course name Content of courses Comprehensive lesson of advanced Chinese Vocabulary and grammar knowledge of advanced Chinese (for students with new HSK4 certificate or higher). Aural-oral lesson of advanced Chinese Aural and oral skills of advanced Chinese (for students with new HSK4 certificate or higher). Reading and writing lesson of advanced Chinese Reading and writing skills of advanced Chinese (for students with new HSK4 certificate or higher). Interview guide course Students are informed with the basic process of undergraduate and graduate interview as well as the communication skills and professional knowledge reserve which need preparation. Simulated interviews will be arranged for improving students’ test-taking skills.. Instruction of art exam application Students are informed with the features and class arrangements of film majors, the application procedure, reference books and movies, the application procedure of scholarship and the mental regulation before examinations etc. Film Chinese (1) Basic terms, vocabulary and language points relevant to film directing, screenwriting, cinematography, performance, sound recording, editing, art etc. Film Chinese (2) Contents mainly about the world film history, including famous directors of European movies and American Hollywood movies etc, their representative works and the trend of thoughts in movies as well as the film movements caused by the specific film works. Film Chinese (3) Contents mainly about the Chinese film history, including the Chinese directors and their representative works as well as the related contents of film production, marketing management, legal regulations and the film industry in China. Classic Films The visual and aural language course with 8 worldwide famous films including Run Lola Runand Citizen Kane meets the international students’ demand of studying and improves the ability to learn cinematic knowledge after entering the course. Theory and Common Knowledge of Art Auxiliary course combined with psychology of literature and art, theory and basic common knowledge of art, including art types like literature, drama, music and dance etc and the related artistic knowledge in order to meet the demand of undergraduate entrance preliminary examination as well as the graduate entrance examination of literature and art and film theory. Note: Film major Chinese(provided only in Fall semester)
2.3 Semester Arrangement
- The autumn semester (A class) start in early Semester and ended in early January, 17 weeks totally (last week for final exam).
- The spring semester (B class) start in early March and ended in late June, 17 weeks totally (last week for final exam).

3. Fees Paying
Editor Notes: The fees is subject to the school standard when the applicants arrive at the school.
- Tuition: RMB 9,000 per semester per person.(800 RMB per week(more than two weeks))
- Registration Fee: RMB 400.00 for the first enrollment.
- Registration time: first semester: early September each year; Second semester: late February each year.
- The late enrollment is also admitted.
- Medical Insurance: RMB 800 per academic year, RMB 400 per semester.
4. Visa Procedure and Enrollment:

- For self-funding applicants, please go to Chinese Embassy located in their home countries with Admission Notice and JW202 form.
- For CSC applicants, please go to Chinese Embassy located in their home countries with Admission Notice and JW201 form.
- According to the relevant regulations of China, international applicants with passport, who want to study in China over one year, should apply for X visa; after coming to China, foreign students are required to apply for Temporary Residence Permission. Please enroll at BFA at specified time. Admission qualification will be canceled if applicants don't register on due dates.
